Welcome Friends, readers, and fellow bibliophiles! It’s late the month but it is that time again!!! I’m very excited to share with you the February Book Of the month!!!
Turtles All the Way Down – by John Green
It’s a classic tale of unresolved pain, and inner torment. A story that most girls say to themselves “oh that won’t happen to me.” But let’s be honest and look at the facts, something like 1 in 3 women will experience sexual assault by the age of 25. Who I used to be is exactly one such story. Follow a young girl through her high school years as she tries to cope with the pain, shame, and self-hatred of being rapped by her brothers best friend. As she finds ways to deal with her feelings she losses some friends along the way and makes a new one. Travel down the halls and navigate through her life with her as she struggles with who she can trust and who she can’t, starting with herself.

Kaz Brekker and his crew, having just finished raiding the Ice Court, thought they were coming back to the prize of a life time, but when they realize they got swindled out of their money, its up to Kaz and his crew to get their money, and get back at the men that ruined every one of their lives. Leigh Bardugo brings you back into the Barrel, as flawlessly as if we never left.
Kaz and his misfit band of miscreants have to lay low as they uncover a black hole of secrets that are keeping them from their fortunes, as well as their futures. As we watch the spectacle of the barrel unfold infront of us we also get a side show of who loves who, without it being throwin in our face as a sappy love story. The Jesper and Waylen romance is so subtle at that first you can't even tell its going on, it slips up on you so skillfully that you forget that you didn't even like waylen before this book started. The Kas and Inej romance is something that I sensed from the first book, but it was small a gradual and by the end you're wanting so much more than she gave you, honestly I want another book just about the two of them!!
When I found out that Leigh Bardugo wrote another series completely on the Grisha I was crazy stoked, it meant that I didn't have to leave the beautifully dangerous environment of the Barrel. I cannot wait to go back soon to this beautiful series. This book is a defiant must read!

Welcome Back Friends!! It’s time to discuss the newest addition to the Marvel Univurse Spider-Man: Homecoming! So here is your ********* SPOILER ALERT***********
Let’s begin by saying how absolutely thankful I am to marvel universe for not making us sit through another Peter Parker origins story! If you’re a regular in the marvel universe you’re already aware that while this this is the first spider man movie, this is not the first time we’ve met Mr. Peter Parker, but for the newbies let’s recap really quickly. Our first encounter with our newest Spider- Man, played by Tom Holland, and his surprisingly young Aunt May played by the beautiful, Marisa Tomie, was actually in the last Captian American movie, Civil War. One of the great things about this particular addition to the Marvel Universe is it’s ability to stand completely alone! Through a bit a time laps cut scene work in the beginning of the movie, you don’t have to have seen any of the other movies to know what’s going on with our friendly neighborhood Spider-man.
In my oh so humble opinion Holland’s Peter Parker is by far my favorite! He is the perfect mix of Maguire’s Peter Parker and Garfield’s Spider-Man! Although holland portrays a younger spidey then we are used to I think he really steps up to the plate nicely! His dynamic with Robert Downey Jr. as his new mentor is beautiful and quit Awesome, he’s the classic hard ass, with a bit of fatherly edge that on one really expects from Tony Stark.
With some decent twists, this movie is defiantly another marvel masterpiece, well worth the price of admission to see! I highly recomened seeing this Spidey adventure, and enjoyed following Peter down awkward adolescent road.
Like all marvel movies this one had not one but 2 cut scenes, the second one left many fans a little underwhelmed for sure! I defiantly really enjoyed this movie and give it a 4 outta 5 stars guys!!!

Welcome friends, can we please take a moment to discuss the season finale of Doctor who?!? I know I haven’t been doing recaps this season of TV shows like I used to, but I’m working on getting things back up to old standards. With that being said let’s get to it here is your
************* SPOILER ALART************
So as we all (should) know by now this is season is the last for our doctor, both our companions, and our (not so) beloved writer. Ok now I get that it’s an unpopular opinion but I really am not sad to see moffet go. I do however have some mixed feelings on the loss of your current doctor!
This season has been a beautifully confusing but consistent rollercoaster of two parter/ multi-episode story lines that blended together in a Tennetesk season. With last weeks return of the one and only Master, and his team up with his future Regeneration Missy, this week promised to be a beautiful disaster for the doctor and his friends. Specifically Bill who they turned into a cyber man.
While I personally felt this episode was long and drawn out, we did get some lose ends tied up. Missy’s conflicted feelings of affection for the doctor, combined with her past self pushing for her to return to her life of evil made for a head spinning Ride of will she or won’t she. In the end the good in her prevailed ( as did her crush on the doctor) but her change of heart came a little to late and her counterpart the master refuses to let her aid his mortal enemy and kills her. The doctor blew up all the cyber men, triggering the start of his regeneration cycle. Between the Doctors hissy of not wanting to be a new person, and the revilation that Bill finally get to be with the Lady in the water, who saved her after the doctor killed the cybermen, the final 20 minutes defiantly hit you right in the feels.
The doctor relived all his companions giving us a glimps of Amy, Rose, and of course River, but then something unexpected happens Capaldi runs into the “Original” Doctor, played by David Bradly who revives the roll that was originated by William hartnell.
We go out on a heart breaking identity crisis as he runs into his former self, leaving whovians everywhere on pins and needles as we desporatly await the announcement of who the next doctor might be!
